A Calming Presence
Georgia, Our Therapy Dog in Training
Georgia is a gentle, friendly Golden Retriever who brings a little extra comfort and connection to our counselling sessions. With her calm and loving nature, she creates a welcoming space where children and families can feel safe, regulated, and at ease. Georgia is continuing her training as a therapy dog and is a special part of the Deeply Rooted team.
Georgia comes from the respected Red Gold Golden Retrievers breeding program in the Kootenays, known for their focus on health and temperament.

A Little More About Georgia
Research suggests human animal interaction is promising with studies exploring the benefits for autism, anxiety, social communication and emotional wellbeing. It offers a meaningful way to consider how we create therapeutic spaces that work best for children.

You don't have to be perfect to be a good parent. You just have to keep showing up.
